The opening of the EP is intimate, imagine a smokey dark stage in a bar, a limelight, and ALETULLE introducing a journey that starts with a heart-break. The pain made her close up, and five years later she is ready to tell her story: how in five years she became ALETULLE from the ashes.

Nowadays, people are unwilling to express their true feelings as they are afraid of becoming vulnerable. Also, because of pressure by the mainstream media, people are sometimes too focused on the physical side of relationships and do not care about what matters the most: feelings and being human and kind (basically, what’s inside our minds). This song criticises the overrated physical side of superficial relationships.

Lyrics:
So you think you got me hooked
Maybe you’re wrong
And if you think I’m going mad
Well, maybe you’re right

You may think you’re very sweet
That’s your perception
You’re just a captive of your ego
And you just don’t know

What do you care?
You act like me I’m not there
You touch but you don’t feel
Who the hell am I to you?

Take me there, take me
Inside your mind
Take me there, take me
To the place I’ve never been

I thought you were different
Maybe I was wrong
You know, you’re not that special
And that’s alright

What do you care?
You act like me I’m not there
You touch but you don’t feel
Who the hell am I to you?

Take me there, take me
Inside your mind
Take me there, take me
To the place I’ve never been

Is there a reason for keeping me aside?
Are you just afraid of what you’re hiding within?

From Jake Stein:
Genre = indie/alternative, chill beat pop ala Beck, Massive Attack, etc. A less harsh Nine Inch Niles, perhaps.

From Artists: Babelshack is an authentic progression from the post-punk, hard-edged 90s. Each member has a degree in music and unique impact on the overall sound—something the Albuquerque Weekly Alibi refers to as “side trails of new musical territory.” Influences from reggae, to punk, to jazz, to hard-rock weave cohesively into a visceral soundtrack. Barnaby Hazen’s masterfully crafted lyrics and dynamic vocals range from vulnerable to passionate, to downright psychopathic.
