Perfect Living
By Bear Witness
From the album Perfect Living

A powerful modern rock song. Beginning with soft vocals over a solid groove driven verse it leads into an epic chorus wherein you are surrounded by distorted guitars and a hook-infused, belted vocal that leaves you with the desire to bounce around the room singing along.

Lyrically the song is about the loss of joy and time that comes with becoming an adult. The
monotonous march of everyday life as you wish for the weekend. The title ‘Perfect Living’ is
a sarcastic remark targeted at adult life. Everyone’s struggling, however, no one will let it
show; putting up a colour corrected, highlight reel of their life to all who ask. Adult life is the
farthest thing from Perfect Living, which is what made the lyric so satisfying to write.

We storyboarded, filmed and edited the visuals of the music video ourselves, it tells the first part of a story following a gifted human under government surveillance. Having evolved to teleport and manipulate reality, we follow his journey of escape from the futuristic government army DAWN. The video story will be continued throughout Bear Witness’ next two releases from their ‘DAWN’ EP over the coming year.

“Sleep in Your Bed” Added to Indie Rock & Jam Bands

Sleep in Your Bed
By Chimpanbee

From the album Can’t Stop or Rewind
Chimpanbee released their debut album in 2017, an unfinished opus from 2010 when the band was 18 years old.

A collection of songs that runs through the cliche themes and notions of young love and how that plays out under the constraints of music life and under the influences of heavy drug taking.

Our debut album ‘Can’t Stop Or Rewind’ had received some good radio play in Ireland and some excellent reviews including 7/10 in Hot Press Magazine as they underlined our “Huge Potential” , but a few a days before the band were set to start touring our piano player was attacked and killed in Waterford City.

Since then we have been exclusively writing and recording in the hopes of delivering a second record more in line with who and what we are now.

Chimpanbee are yet to show their true form as a band as the first album is effectively 10 years old, so our forthcoming album ‘Perfectly Out Of Balance’ is to be our true reflection as we ponder our roots, our future and our interpretation of the music world.

Bottle Angel Lyrics

Bottle Angel Lyrics

Bottle Angel

A man bases his life on drinking – doesn’t need a wife or friends, because he thinks he’s saved by the bottle. Then he meets a woman who turns his life around, and he realizes he was saved by his Bottle Angel.

Bottle Angel
(Gibson/Bates/Kelley 2017)
Verse 1
Wives come and go, they do,
friends rarely ever stay true,
when you’re feel’n downright blue,
downright blue,
you can always do what I do . . .
do what I do . . .

Chorus
I live my life full throttle,
never found a need to dawdle,
don’t have to be Aristotle
to know I’m saved, I’m saved, by the bottle.
Saved by the bottle.

Short Instrumental

Verse 2
I hate my work, have no clout,
my life’s a pain, so damn true.
When you’re feeling down & out,
feeling down & out,
you can always do what I do . . .
do what I do . . .

Chorus
I live my life full throttle,
never found a need to dawdle,
don’t have to be Aristotle
to know I’m saved, I’m saved, by the bottle.
Saved by the bottle.

Instrumental

Bridge
Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh,
Then she came into my life . . .
Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh,
An angel showed me how
to handle strife . . .
an angel saved me from myself,
an angel saved me from myself.

Chorus
I live my life full throttle,
never found a need to dawdle,
don’t have to be Aristotle
to know she saved me, saved me, from the bottle.
She saved me from the bottle,
She saved me from the bottle.
She saved me from the bottle.
